RWinvest, the international property sales agent headquartered in Liverpool, is predicting that it will bring over £1billion of investment to the city over the next five years as it continues its flourishing partnership with Legacie Developments.

The company is helping to secure millions in sales for Legacie’s Development’s forthcoming regeneration of the historic Heaps Rice Mill site. The Grade II-listed building on the edge of the Baltic Triangle has been empty since 2005 – and has had planning permission since 2014.

Previously used by Joseph Heap & Sons Ltd – which once ground rice for Kellogg’s Rice Krispies – it is one of the last surviving warehouse complexes in the area.

Legacie Developments is bringing forward an exciting mixed use regeneration scheme featuring a hotel, apartments, and high-quality commercial space – helping to breathe new life into a dilapidated part of the city centre.

RWinvest, established in 2004, predominantly secures investment for North-West developments and recently opened an office in Salford Quays to further supplement this. However, the business is expanding its focus on Merseyside as it grows its sales alliance with Legacie Developments who are investing heavily in residential and commercial building schemes in the city region.

The sales powerhouse has already secured more than £300m for Legacie which has funded schemes including Liverpool’s 505-unit Parliament Square development and Merchant’s Wharf in Salford Quays.

Now, RWinvest says it is on target to attract national and international investment of over £1billion by 2027 from people keen to invest in Liverpool developments.

Michael Gledhill, Managing Director of RWinvest, said:

“Liverpool is considered the best UK property investment hotspot, with some of the most affordable house prices. The city boasts the UK’s second-largest regional economy, worth over £149 billion and growing 15% year on year.

“We have built up a global reputation for bringing attractive opportunities to the market and we have major plans to be leading on sales for even more residential schemes over the next five years.

“A major focus for us is the Liverpool City Region as we continue our successful partnership with Legacie Developments who are already establishing themselves as the city’s most prominent developer, demonstrated with the imminent Heaps Rice Mill development which has been an eyesore in the area for far too long.

With plans to sell an exciting pipeline of residential and commercial schemes, we will hopefully surpass the £1billion mark in terms of sales. This is big news for Liverpool and will contribute towards sustaining a vibrant economy after what has been a tough time for the development sector.”
