A quarterly literary publication exploring self-care as a pathway to personal and collective liberation

redrosethorns, an independent feminist press, announces the release of Thorn & Bloom Magazine Issue 06, titled The Body as Archive.

This edition explores the body as a living record of memory, trauma, resilience, and delight. Through poetry and prose rooted in the feminist consciousness-raising tradition, contributors answer: what do our bodies remember that our minds have tried to forget?

Thorn & Bloom is a quarterly publication dedicated to exploring the transformative power of self-care as a pathway to personal and collective liberation. Each issue challenges how societal norms and socialisation suppress individuality, autonomy, and self-worth — positioning self-care not as indulgence, but as an act of resistance and a tool for healing.

“We are taught to take care of our bodies, though not how to listen to its wisdom shared. Much of what our minds can’t process, our body stores, and when we feel stuck, the tension held within can guide us in the right directions. The stories in these pages offer a glimpse into all the body holds, both pain and joy, just as our mind and body are one,” says Kirsty Anne Richards, Founder and Editorial Director of redrosethorns.

Thorn & Bloom Magazine Issue 06: The Body as Archive is now available in both print and digital formats directly through redrosethorns’ website.
