Planned PEThood of Georgia is proud to announce its participation in the Southeastern Railway Museum’s annual Festival of Trees, on display from November 15 through January 4.
Hosted at the Southeastern Railway Museum, Georgia’s Official Transportation History Museum, the festival showcases more than 60 uniquely decorated holiday trees throughout the museum’s historic grounds.
This year, Planned PEThood sponsored and designed a tree celebrating its mission of animal welfare and the simple wishes that pets and families in need hope will come true.
Each day, the organization meets animals with humble wishes:
- A kitten wishing for a warm lap and a full belly.
- A family pet wishing for good health and care their family can afford.
- A community cat wishing for safety and a life free from suffering.
Planned PEThood works to make each of these wishes a reality. Through experienced staff, innovative programs, and the compassion of supporters across Georgia, the organization strengthens families, improves community health, and ensures pets receive the care they deserve.
“We are honored to be part of this treasured community tradition,” said Marci Reynolds, Director of Development at Planned PEThood of Georgia. “The Festival of Trees gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community, celebrate the season, and share the impact of our work for pets and the people who rely on us.”
The Festival of Trees kicks off with Santa’s arrival by train on Saturday, November 15, at 1 p.m. Throughout the season, visitors can explore the tree displays, enjoy train rides, and take photos with Santa inside the museum.
