OT Group Signs Multi-Year Partnership with The Tree Council in Bid to Plant 10,000 Trees

Ashton-under-Lyne headquartered, OT Group, has joined forces with national environmental charity, The Tree Council, in a bid to support and preserve the UK’s natural landscape.

Under the partnership, OT Group will participate in a raft of fundraising and volunteering initiatives, including becoming a Jubilee Partner for The Queen’s Green Canopy, and committing £5,000 to the ‘Big Give Match Fund’ campaign, raising crucial funds for The Tree Council’s Orchards for Schools programme.

In support of The Queen’s Green Canopy, OT Group will join a team of 70 green-hearted corporate partners, in the planting of 35,000 trees and seven kilometres of hedgerow in communities across the UK.

Having recently launched its Environmental and Society Manifesto, OT Group’s ambitions match those of The Tree Council – which aims to empower organisations, government, communities, and individuals with the knowledge and tools to create positive, lasting change at a national and local level.

“We are delighted to have signed a multi-year partnership with The Tree Council. As OT Group is a Royal Warrant Holder, the Queen’s Canopy is something we were particularly keen to be a part of, to celebrate the late Queen’s Jubilee,” explained Andrew Jones, OT Group CEO.

“With a large proportion of OT Group’s office supplies being paper-based, we’re keen to try and mitigate the impact that has on the planet – and have committed to planting 10,000 trees by the end of 2023.”

Sara Lom, CEO, The Tree Council added: “We are delighted to partner with the OT Group – working together for the love of trees. As one of our green-hearted Jubilee Partners, they are supporting tree and hedgerow planting with communities across the UK, creating a living legacy in celebration of Her Majesty’s extraordinary service to the nation.

“In addition, we are excited that OT Group has pledged to support our Big Give Christmas Challenge, raising funds for Orchards for Schools, a programme that plants and cares for fruiting trees and hedgerows in primary, secondary and special schools nationwide. We are hugely grateful for OT Group’s tree-mendous support!”
