Press Release

SLUIS OBISPO, Calif. – August 26, 2025

Noatanga, a Franco-American startup announced the launch of its online marketplace platform designed for photographers, illustrators, and visual artists to reclaim their visibility and control. By leveraging image indexing, the platform amplifies an artist’s presence both on its own marketplace as well across the web, without the pressure of constant posting or time-consuming management.

With marketplace features, profiles act like a website portfolio that’s optimized for web discoverability. Through meta tags and alt-text, audiences can find artists by style rather than hashtags or follower counts. Noatanga goes the extra mile as the platform is optimized for long-term visibility through search engines such as Google.

“We know many artists don’t have the time or resources to master SEO or social algorithms,” said Lucie Montagnese, co-founder and Franco-American creative. “By indexing images and making profiles search-friendly, Noatanga ensures their work stays visible online.” Co-founder and developer Denis Semmau adds, “We believe creativity should stay at the heart of an artist’s life- not tech stress or the pressure to chase algorithms.”

Creating a profile on Noatanga is free. While optional premium features will be introduced in the future, the platform currently focuses on building an artist-first ecosystem designed for long-term discoverability. At launch, artists can create free profiles that include:

  • Customizable portfolios tailored to each artist.
  • Smart image-based search powered by machine learning.
  • Secure cloud storage with watermark options for privacy.
  • SEO-friendly layouts to make sure your work is seen by the right people.
  • Simple sharing via web links or QR codes.

By leveraging image indexing, machine learning search, and SEO optimization, Noatanga ensures creative work remains accessible to audiences and searchable across the web. Whether emerging or established, artists can benefit from a platform that puts their work first.

Notes to editors

Noatanga originated in 2024 with support from the Cal Poly CIE Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Lucie Montagnese’s alma mater, and contributions from student engineers at Cal Poly. Montagnese met co-founder Denis Semmau by chance in her childhood hometown in France. Today, they work together to build the platform for an international creator community, collaborating remotely between the United States and France. Looking ahead, the team plans to introduce more beneficial features and resources to nurture and grow their creative community.
