The Institute envisions a world where abused and neglected children have the support and the tools to address chronic undereducation, unemployment and homelessness. The Institute's programs improve the lives of abused and neglected children by supporting best practices in education, research and the law. We promote best practices for foster youth in college, support access to information when an abused child dies in order to aid prevention efforts, an abused child's right to be heard through an advocate, and educate courts and legislators on how specific decisions and laws can impact children
