Yorkshire building services and engineering consultants FHP has made a senior appointment as it continues to invest in skills and technical expertise as part of planned strategic growth.
Paul Arnold has been appointed as a senior sustainability engineer based at the Leeds office and will be involved in FHP’s expanding range of commercial work for national, workspace, retail, leisure, healthcare, residential and infrastructure, real estate and development clients. Providing mechanical, electrical and public health building services design including Zero Carbon, sustainability, operational carbon and ESG studies, he will also support the senior leadership team in project management and new business development work.
Currently employing 52 people across its offices and targeting £3.5 million in turnover in 2022, the firm continues to recruit skilled people for a number of key roles to support current and future work and the expansion of operations.
Director James Taylor said FHP is going from strength-to-strength, meeting the strong demand for building services and engineering expertise as the economy recovers post pandemic.

FHP is currently supportingwork on a new major £270m mixed use development in Wembley for Regal London, a new £62 million Hyatt Hotel Leeds for Ivegate, a £12 million industrial warehouse unit development for Harworth Group in south Yorkshire and the £31 million luxury residential development in Leeds for developer Priestley Homes. Projects recently completed and successfully handed over include a sustainable industrial scheme at SEGRO Park in Tottenham, a residential development for Bouygues UK at Luton Street, and the offsite fabricated bathrooms at Battersea Power Station.
