Milan-based M-Cube sees 25% revenue growth and gains pace in IT security

  • Company continues its growth trajectory and appoints a new Information Security Officer to curb increasing cybersecurity threat

Milan, 1st June 2023:  M-Cube, a global leader in In-Store Digital Engagement solutions, has announced a 25% year on year revenue growth in 2022, while making significant investments in the cybersecurity space.

Headquartered in Milan, Italy, M-Cube has offices globally and has grown by 25% with a turnover of 56 million Eurosin the past year. M-Cube’s client base also expanded in 2022 by 12% winning major contracts in the automotive and energy sectors.

M-Cube, who won Gold at the POPAI UK & Ireland Awards in the Digital Solutions category for its EE One Brahm Concept Store, has announced its further expansion in 2023.

Manlio Romanelli, President of M-Cube, commented: “Despite the energy crisis, the Ukraine war and the continued unreliability of supply chains, the past year turned out better than planned. M-Cube’s growth is a testament to our hard working and passionate team. Wherever we have sought to innovate and to develop as a company, our brilliant people have excelled and made it possible. I am incredibly proud of the advancements we’ve made.”

M-Cube supports demands on IT security

As modern digital signage systems are data-driven, fully networked with backend systems and a potential gateway for hackers, M-Cube has appointed Andrea Ceiner as Security Manager to help combat security issues. Ceiner began his journey in M-Cube in Sales, before moving onto Supply Chain and now will be responsible for information security, cybersecurity and prevention and protection at the workplace.

The company is also making investments in its own IT security, replacing outdated systems with new standardised Linux players.

Manlio continued: “IT security is one of the biggest challenges for digital signage providers. In the past, the market has neglected IT security issues. With increasing cyber attacks, large end customers are also demanding modern IT security management systems from digital signage providers. M-Cube has been investing in quality management, data security and IT security for more than ten years. But it is only in the pandemic that enterprise customers have become more demanding about IT security. To keep up with change, we are replacing smaller digital signage integrators, especially in the luxury sector, who cannot meet the new IT security requirements.”

Acquisition and expansion

M-Cube has also acquired Netherlands-based Notice Group. This acquisition will enrich M-Cube’s portfolio and allow M-Cube to enlarge its expertise into the innovative Dutch market, expanding their operations into new sectors like Hospitality, Leisure, Healthcare and Fitness.
