National student lettings agency loc8me has expanded its reach in the North of England with new homes in York, the company’s seventh northern city.
Loc8me now adds York to a growing northern network that already includes Newcastle, Durham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Hull, as the Midlands-founded business continues to grow across the region’s university markets.
Based in Loughborough, loc8me now operates across 19 major university cities nationwide and manages more than 3,500 properties and 8,000 bedrooms for over 8,000 students.
The properties in York will be managed from the company’s regional office in Leeds at a time when the competition in the city for high-quality student housing remains strong.
Loc8me will deliver its full property management service across York, home to more than 22,000 students, including tenancy management, maintenance coordination, compliance oversight and 24-hour tenant support.

The York expansion follows a strong year for loc8me, which earlier in 2026 facilitated more than 7,500 student moves across its UK portfolio while working with over 500 landlords.
