The Private Wealth & Philanthropy team at Laytons ETL has been named “Private Client Team of the Year: London” at the 2026 Modern Law Private Client Awards.

Operated by Modern Law magazine, with a panel of judges drawn from across the legal and estate planning professions, the awards recognise individuals, teams and firms that demonstrate excellence in terms of expertise, service and innovation.

This year’s winners were announced at a ceremony at Coombe Abbey, Coventry on 1 July.

Laytons ETL’s winning entry focused on its high-value, complex and international caseload, including a number of seven- and eight-figure matters involving cross-border tax planning, inheritance tax mitigation, succession planning and estate administration.

Based in the City of London and operating within a full-service internationally focused commercial law firm, the Private Wealth & Philanthropy team has a client base that predominantly consists of business owners , high and ultra-high net worth families, and celebrities.

In addition to estate planning and administration, the Team has a particular specialism in Philanthropy, particularly in respect of charity formation and registration.
