Kada Research strengthens client offering with promotions and latest hire

Sheffield economic consultancy welcomes Lewis Pontremoli to its growing team and promotes four existing staff

Kada Research, a UK and International economic development consultancy that provides social and economic research, analysis and advice to the public, private and non-profit sectors, has further strengthened its client offering with another new appointment, and the promotion of four existing members of staff.

The move sees Lewis Pontremoli join the Sheffield firm as a Research Consultant after completing his MSc degree in Environmental Change and International Development at the University of Sheffield, having previously graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 2021 with first-class honours in International Business.

Kada founder Karl Dalgleish says his appointment comes in response to rising demand for social and economic research, impact assessments and strategy development work. There is also growing interest in low carbon solutions so Lewis’s experience of climate and environmental change will be useful.

The Park Hill-based economic consultancy has also announced four promotions from across the firm, with Sabrina Ahmed, Bridget Bradbury-Hickey, Pat Coupar and Jack Orwin all taking on new roles as Research Managers.

Commenting on the expansion of the business and the promotions, Kada Company Director, Karl, said: “It has been a very exciting and busy period of growth for Kada which is responding to a significant increase in demand from new and existing customers both here in the UK, and further afield.

“In response to that we are delighted to be welcoming Lewis to the team. His focus on quantitative and qualitative research, and his expertise using GIS software to map socio economic data will further complement and enhance the existing skills within the team. He is already working on a low carbon business resource efficiency project for a Chamber of Commerce in the South East.

“We are also delighted to announce the promotions of Sabrina, Bridget, Pat and Jack. They have all made a fantastic contribution to the team since they joined last year, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to continue to work alongside them as they transition from research consultants to research managers.

“As a business we are deeply committed to nurturing our staff and helping them to achieve their personal and professional goals, and these promotions are part of that commitment.”

Over the past decade Kada Research has worked on a diverse range of projects on behalf of clients operating in multiple sectors – from universities, through to the emergency services and health, business support and enterprise, and central government and government agencies.

The team’s research and analysis enables clients to make informed decisions that ultimately benefit their businesses, society and the environment.
