Igniteher Inc.’s Purple Paws Initiative and Protecting Paws for Life are proud to announce a new partnership dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence and crisis situations remain safely together with their beloved pets.
This collaboration brings together two organizations committed to compassion, advocacy, and removing barriers that prevent individuals and families from seeking safety. Through this partnership, the organizations will work together to increase awareness, provide pet-related resources and support, and help create more pet-friendly pathways for survivors in need.
Protecting Paws for Life, a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses on supporting domestic violence shelters and programs in becoming or maintaining fear-free, pet-friendly environments. Their mission ensures that survivors never have to choose between their own safety and the safety of their pets.
The Purple Paws Initiative, a program of Igniteher Inc., recognizes the powerful bond between people and animals and the important role pets play in emotional healing, stability, and recovery during times of crisis.
“Together, we are creating a stronger network of support for survivors and their pets,” said representatives from both organizations. “No one should have to leave a family member behind, including the four-legged ones.”
The partnership will focus on:
- Raising awareness about the connection between domestic violence and pet safety
- Supporting pet-friendly sheltering options and resources
- Providing community education and outreach
- Assisting survivors with pet-related needs and support services
- Building collaborative relationships that strengthen safety and healing for families
By combining their missions and resources, Igniteher Inc. and Protecting Paws for Life hope to expand access to compassionate services while encouraging communities to recognize the importance of keeping people and pets together during difficult times.
