The Homebuilding & Renovating Show returns to the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, on 3 and 4 October 2026. It offers anyone planning a self-build the opportunity to gain expert advice, attend practical seminars and masterclasses, and get the information they need to plan their project with confidence.
Among the highlights is a masterclass exploring how an initial £2,000 investment turned into £200,000 of equity in just two years. The session will look at the decisions, planning and project management behind the result, offering visitors an insight into one route to creating value through self-build.
The show’s programme also includes expert sessions covering every stage of the homebuilding journey, from finding a plot and managing a budget to navigating the planning process and understanding how to reclaim VAT on eligible self-build projects.
Visitors will also have access to the show’s free Advice Centre, where they can book one to one consultations with independent experts on planning, design, structural engineering, finance and energy efficiency.
