Hundreds of students at Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) are celebrating success in Level 3 vocational, technical and T Level qualifications, opening the door to higher education, apprenticeships and skilled employment.
More than 90% of students completing their Level 3 programme successfully achieved their qualification, reflecting the commitment of students and staff across the College.
Students achieved success across a broad range of subject areas, with a number of particularly impressive outcomes in Travel and Tourism, Engineering, Business and Health and Social Care.
There were several standout success stories across the College and at every campus. Examples include, every second-year student in Travel and Tourism in Redditch achieved a Merit or above, with half securing Distinction grades. Engineering students in Bromsgrove also achieved excellent outcomes, with every successful first-year student achieving a Distinction and all successful second-year students achieving a Merit or above, including 70% achieving Distinction grades. In Worcester, Electrical Installation students achieved a success rate that was 20 percentage points higher than the national average.
Business students performed strongly, with more than 60% achieving Distinction grades. In Health and Social Care, every student who completed the Extended Diploma achieved their qualification, demonstrating the dedication of learners preparing for careers in the sector.
The College’s growing T Level provision has also continued to perform well. Early Years students achieved a 100% pass rate, including the programme’s first ever Distinction* grade, while students studying Digital T Levels achieved positive outcomes across Digital Production, Design and Development and Digital Support Services. These industry-focused qualifications combine classroom learning with substantial employer placements, enabling students to develop the technical expertise, confidence and workplace experience needed for future success.
Many students will now progress to higher education, including degree-level study at HoW College, while others will move into apprenticeships, employment and further training opportunities.
