BUFORD, GA - March 10, 2026

Georgia’s Lanier Islands Resort invites the South to put on its bunny ears and hop on over to the lake in time for Easter Sunday 2026. Located 45 miles north of Atlanta at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford, the resort boasts 1,200 acres on the scenic Southern shoreline of Lake Lanier – providing an ideal backdrop for holiday photos. The lakeside destination also offers a variety of accommodations at special holiday pricing for Easter weekend, seatings throughout the day on April 5 for its chef-prepared brunch of springtime favorites, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny himself, and a series of classic Easter Egg Hunts.

“Whether they’re staying with us overnight or simply coming out to visit during the day on Easter Sunday, it means a lot to the whole Islands team that our guests would choose our resort to feature so prominently in their holiday memories,” said Lanier Islands Resort President Matthew Bowling. “Easter marks the start of Spring for many, and we’ve got a busy one planned! From the much-anticipated opening of Georgia’s only night-lit Par 3 course right on the water to the return of a national sky lantern festival on our shores – and that’s just March! Looking beyond Easter, there will be the reopening of our newly reimagined Legacy clubhouse and the return of our popular Mother’s Day brunch in May. We are also looking forward to bringing back our Summer Concert Series with an awesome lineup of tribute bands, taking part in America’s celebration of 250 years, and so much more.”

While at Lanier Islands Resort for Easter Weekend 2026, guests can take part in the Easter Brunch – hosted in the Grand Ballroom at Legacy Lodge. The feast will feature a wide array of breakfast items, salads, seafood, charcuterie, carving stations, action stations, and sides. As is the case at every brunch event, there will be a special kids’ corner with items to please even the pickiest eaters, and a grand dessert display to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. Either before or after brunch, pint-sized patrons can take part in a traditional Easter Egg Hunt on the Legacy Lawn between 1 and 5 p.m., with a new hunt starting every hour. Those who wish to enjoy an overnight stay can take advantage of the Easter Celebration Package, which includes deluxe accommodations at Legacy Lodge, Legacy Villas, or the LakeHouses. The package also provides Easter Brunch for four, photos with the Easter Bunny, and admission to the Easter Egg Hunt on Legacy Lawn. During their stay, guests can rent a resort cart for an Islands-wide Scavenger Hunt or head over to Game Changer to explore 23,000 square feet of arcade games, duckpin bowling, axe-throwing, adult gaming machines, and virtual sports suites.
