Alveus A.V., ETS Asset Management Factory E.A.F, and Virtus Universitas join forces to create GoodWay™: a unique rating that combines ethics, finance, and technology.
The securities agency ALVEUS, in collaboration with the financial advisory firm ETS Asset Management Factory E.A.F. and the humanities school VIRTUS Universitas, presents GoodWay™, an ethical rating for financial investments that integrates the fundamental pillars of Christian ethics.
Goodway™ aims to raise awareness of the importance of Christian ethics in the field of financial investment and, at the same time, facilitate its practical application through an innovative system for evaluating funds and ETFs, providing investors with access to a solid and reliable reference for making financial decisions that combine profitability with universal values.
In a world where investors are increasingly seeking to make a positive impact, sectors and projects aligned with Christian ethics are emerging strongly. The data shows a clear trend:
- Science and Human Dignity. In 2023, investment in ethical biomedical research and regenerative medicine (based on adult stem cells) reached record levels, driving innovative treatments that respect human dignity from conception to natural death (NIH, 2023).
- Support for Life and Family. More and more investment funds are backing companies that promote comprehensive support for vulnerable mothers, helping to reduce inequalities and provide social and economic support to families at risk (WHO, 2023).
- Care Economy. The market for elder care exceeded $1.5 trillion in 2024, reflecting growing demand for solutions that prioritize well-being, companionship, and dignity in old age (Grand View Research, 2024).
Given this situation, GoodWay™ takes as its reference the Catholic Social Teaching and key documents such as Mensuram Bonam (Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, November 2022) to enable the agile and rigorous application of these principles.
The GoodWay™ methodology is the result of several years of work and is based on four key pillars:
- Methodology. A proprietary filtering system based on Christian ethics.
- Database. A historical and constantly updated database that includes more than 13,000 internationally listed companies.
- Technology. With algorithmic and technological capabilities that enable the analysis to be systematized and applied on a recurring basis to portfolios of stocks, corporate bonds, funds, and ETFs.
- Independent oversight. An external ethical comittee and responsible for periodically evaluating results and ensuring methodological consistency.
The importance of a new rating such as GoodWay™ becomes clear when we consider that, applying this filtering methodology, only 50% of the market capitalization of the main global equity indices would meet the main criteria of Christian ethics.
This launch represents a significant contribution to responsible investment, providing a comprehensive, consistent, and easy-to-use tool,” said Jorge Bolívar, CEO of Alveus Investing AV.
With GoodWay™, ALVEUS reinforces its commitment to ethical investing by offering an analytical alternative that integrates transparency, technical rigor, and moral consistency into investment decision-making.
