A flurry of new jobs at one of the region’s leading employers, Parcelforce Worldwide, will open for applications at its depot in Bodmin, Cornwall this week.
The job registration day, to be held on Friday, June 30th, will be manned by specialist recruiters from award-winning recruitment consultancy, Gi Group, who will be on hand to help candidates through the application process.
There will be several Delivery Van Driver vacancies available, with an enhanced pay rate of £13.37 per hour. The appointments are temporary, for a minimum of five weeks, but there will also be permanent opportunities within the company.
Kerry Jacques, Parcelforce’s National Account Manager at Gi Group, said: “We have seen lots of interest at our registration day events in the past, and we are prepared to see a great deal of applicants in Cornwall this week.
“These positions are extremely popular, with a fantastic pay rate attached, and we are making it easier than ever for anyone interested in a job with Parcelforce to get started as soon as possible. Applicants will be able to turn up, speak to a member of the depot team and get a good understanding of what the positions entail.“From there, we will carry out driving assessments. If the assessment is passed and the fit is right, we will get the successful candidates in work as soon as possible – the process is slick and easy for candidates.”
Anyone interested in the vacancies must bring along the following items: a proof of address, Right to Work document and proof of National Insurance number (a payslip will not suffice). Successful candidates will also need to have held a standard driving license for over 12 months, and have recorded less than six penalty points, although it is preferred if candidates have some experience of driving vans, as required for these positions.
The registration day starts at 9am at Parcelforce’s Cornwall depot at Unit 2, Callywith Gate Industrial Estate, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 2RQ on Friday, June 30th 2023.
