Drive to net zero generates job opportunities at high voltage electrical specialist Maintech Power

Maintech Power, the highly specialist high voltage electrical infrastructure installation and maintenance company, is growing to meet the increasing demand for its capabilities, with the creation of six new jobs.

The Ipswich-based company, which is part of the Fulcrum Group, is one of a small number of specialist electrical infrastructure businesses capable of delivering highly complex projects up to 132Kv.

This is of particular benefit to the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector, where the company is engaged in the construction and subsequent ongoing maintenance of solar farms, onshore wind farms and high voltage battery storage facilities.

As a result, Maintech Power is recruiting for a number of specialist roles, to increase its experienced team.

Among the jobs are two HV/LV Technicians, a HV Project Manager, a HV/LV Maintenance Technician and a HV/LV Jointer.  The company is also recruiting for a Sales Engineer.

The creation of these new roles follows the appointment of a new Head of Operations (Maintenance), Aaron Sallows, who is a highly experienced utilities electrical engineer with a specialism in high voltage projects.

Richard Jupp, Divisional Director at Maintech, said: “The journey to reaching net zero is gaining pace as the country makes the transition to clean, renewable energy generation and storage.  As a highly specialist business in the high voltage infrastructure field with a strong track record in renewable energy, Maintech is well placed to support the increasing number of projects in the pipeline across the UK.   We are already experiencing strong demand, which has led to this current recruitment drive.

“Having already attracted experienced people like Aaron to the business we are confident that we can provide some exciting career opportunities for talented engineers and technicians who are keen to work on significant and complex electrical projects across the UK.”
