Creative Power Town has announced a collaborative EP from artists in its Bristol Artist Development Programme.
The EP builds on the momentum of this year’s pilot Power Town Festival in Bristol at Strange Brew in February.
The full-day festival brought together grassroots performers, industry headliner guests like Donae’o and the local community, with several Artist Development Programme participants performing on the main stage.
The forthcoming EP marks the next step for three of those artists, translating live exposure into a professionally produced studio release.
Rapper Kwazi, vocalist D£Sp!NY and fellow cohort member Danny A are currently working collectively in the studio, with production scheduled for 30 April. The EP will be released online and will be accompanied by a dedicated showcase event highlighting their progression through the programme.
The project reflects Creative Power Town’s structured development model combining mentorship, rehearsal space, performance opportunities and now recorded output to help artists build sustainable creative careers rooted in Bristol.

“The festival gave our artists a high-profile platform in front of new audiences and industry figures. The EP is about sustaining that momentum and ensuring artists move forward with tangible outputs and professional experience.”
Creative Power Town is a neurodiverse-led creative arts hub based in Bristol, supporting young people and emerging artists through structured development, mentorship and performance opportunities. Through initiatives including its Artist Development Programme, Creative Power Town works to strengthen the city’s grassroots music ecosystem and create clearer pathways into the creative industries.
Following the success of the pilot festival and forthcoming EP release, Creative Power Town plans to continue expanding its development activity, working with local partners to ensure Bristol’s emerging talent has access to long-term, professional support.
Its work is supported by the West of England Combined Authority, public funding from Arts Council England and The Nisbet Trust.
