Manchester is rapidly establishing itself as a leading centre for climate technology, bolstered by a growing network of innovation hubs, including Sister, the city’s latest £1.7 billion science and technology innovation district. With world-class facilities supporting climate-focused businesses and a bold target to achieve net-zero by 2038, Manchester is at the forefront of the country’s low-carbon economy and sustainable innovation.
On 3 February, the Clean Growth Fund Roadshow event arrives at the University of Manchester, to connect breakthrough climate tech startups from the North West with investors looking to back scalable, high-impact climate solutions across: power, transport, buildings, industry, agritech, water, waste and renewables.
Building on its investment in Liverpool-based Holiferm, a University of Manchester spin-out commercialising sustainable biosurfactants globally, Clean Growth Fund is now seeking its next breakthrough climate-tech investment in the North West. A cohort of early-stage companies has been selected to pitch to the Fund’s investment team at the forthcoming event, reflecting the region’s increasing depth of climate innovation.
