William Jackson today announced his candidacy for Warren Township Constable, offering a record of experience and public service grounded in professionalism, accountability, and respect for the community.
Jackson is a lifelong Indianapolis resident who currently serves as Chief Deputy Constable for the Center Township Constable’s Office. He is a former elected Township Board Member and a public safety professional with hands-on experience working alongside the courts, law enforcement, and community partners.
“I am not running for a title. I am running to serve Warren Township by doing this job with professionalism and consistency,” Jackson said.
As Chief Deputy Constable, Jackson works daily within the justice system and understands both the duties and the limits of the role from day one. His experience allows him to approach the office with consistency, professionalism, and respect for due process.
“When people interact with this office, they are often already in difficult situations,” he said. “They deserve to be treated with dignity and fairness by someone who understands the seriousness of the job and the impact their decisions can have.”
Jackson also brings a strong background in fiscal management and operations. As an elected Township Board Member, he helped oversee budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure responsible use of taxpayer resources. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, providing the financial and administrative expertise necessary to operate the Constable’s Office efficiently and ethically.
If elected, Jackson said his priorities will include supporting public safety and court operations, protecting taxpayers through responsible management, remaining accessible to the community, and ensuring the office operates within clearly defined legal boundaries.
