ChargePapa has added a new diagnostic product to its EV charging hardware lineup: the ChargePapa StationCheck | AC EVSE Diagnostic Simulator.

The new tool is designed for teams that need a more repeatable way to check charger-side behavior before replacing parts or assuming the vehicle is the source of the problem.

StationCheck is an AC EVSE diagnostic simulator, not a normal EV charger. It is built for AC charging-station testing workflows where installers, support teams, property managers, fleet operators, and EVSE resellers need to observe station response without using a customer vehicle as the first diagnostic step.

ChargePapa says this product category matters because many AC charging faults begin with the same question: is the issue in the station, the installation path, the cable-side behavior, or somewhere else in the charging chain? In those cases, replacing hardware too early can waste time and misread the fault path.

StationCheck simulates charging states A, B, C, and D and supports selected PE and CP diagnostic workflows, including repeatable fault-response checks and cable-resistance simulation. The product is intended to help technical teams narrow the problem before moving vehicles between bays, approving replacements, or escalating a charger-side issue.

ChargePapa offers three interface versions matched to the AC charging station connector being tested: StationCheck-J for SAE J1772 / Type 1 AC charging stations, StationCheck-T2 for Type 2 European Standard AC charging stations, and StationCheck-N for NACS / Tesla-style AC interface checks.

The company positions StationCheck as an AC Level 1 / Level 2 diagnostic tool only. It is not designed as a vehicle charger, not intended as a load device, and not built for DC fast charging or Tesla Supercharger testing.

ChargePapa says the broader goal is to make EV charging support more specification-led and less guess-based. For technical teams, that means a clearer way to separate charger-side testing from vehicle-side assumptions before unnecessary parts replacement begins.
