Breezy HR has launched the Breezy MCP Server, integrating its applicant tracking system with AI platforms like ChatGPT and Claude, allowing recruiters to manage hiring tasks through a chat interface. This integration simplifies the hiring process by enabling AI assistants to perform tasks such as creating candidate profiles, drafting emails, and managing job positions, all while adhering to user permissions. The service is now available to Breezy customers and can be accessed through the Claude connector directory or the ChatGPT app directory.

EDITORIAL INSIGHT: Context, industry insight and market perspectives of this news story

Integrating applicant tracking tools directly into widely used AI chat platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude reflects a practical response to changing working habits among recruiters and hiring managers. As conversational AI becomes embedded in daily workflows, vendors are moving to meet users where they already spend their time, aiming to streamline routine tasks and reduce the friction of switching between systems.

For midsize businesses, which often face resource constraints in HR, the ability to automate repetitive hiring activities within familiar chat environments could offer tangible efficiency gains. The adoption of open standards like Model Context Protocol further positions Breezy HR to participate in a broader ecosystem of interoperable business applications, though the immediate business impact will depend on customer uptake and how seamlessly these integrations perform in real-world scenarios.

Press Release

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nov. 5, 2026

Breezy HR, the applicant tracking system built for midsize companies, today announced that the Breezy MCP Server is now listed in both Anthropic’s Claude connector directory and OpenAI’s ChatGPT app directory. Recruiters and hiring managers can connect Breezy to the AI assistant they already use in a few clicks, then hand it the busywork of hiring through a simple chat.

The MCP server uses Model Context Protocol, the open standard for connecting AI agents to business software. Breezy launched it to customers in September, and the two directory listings, approved in October, remove the manual setup step for most users.

With the Breezy MCP Server connected, an AI assistant can work across dozens of Breezy tools, including:

  • Candidates: create candidates, parse resumes, attach documents, view profiles and activity, add scorecard ratings, send messages and questionnaires, and move candidates between positions and stages.
  • Positions: create and update positions, change a position’s state, such as open, closed or on hold, and view the hiring team and activity.
  • Pipelines and templates: view pipelines and stages, questionnaires and email templates.

In practice, a recruiter can ask, “Compare our three Product Manager finalists side by side,” or “Draft rejection emails for the Marketing Coordinator candidates we’re passing on,” and get the work back in the same chat.

The server works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other AI client that supports MCP. Every action follows the user’s existing Breezy permissions, so an assistant can only see and change what that person already can in the Breezy app.

The MCP server joins Breezy Intelligence, Breezy’s set of AI hiring features, which includes AI Interview Analysis, Applicant Insights candidate scoring and Resume Audit. Applicant Insights is independently audited for bias each month by Warden AI.

“Hiring teams at midsize companies are already working in ChatGPT and Claude every day, so we brought Breezy to them,” said CEO Samiur Rahman of Breezy HR. “A recruiter can pull together interview feedback, chase incomplete questionnaires or draft candidate messages without opening another tab. The assistant does the busywork, and people still make every hiring decision.”
