Bolton site manager wins house building award

Gavin Flannery, from Westhoughton, has received a prestigious National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job award.  It is the 12th time Gavin has won this much coveted accolade.

Senior site manager Gavin has worked for Bellway Manchester for six years.  He is currently based at the housebuilder’s Royal Bowland Park development on The Fairways in Westhoughton.

Providing a range of three and four bedroom homes, Royal Bowland Park has attracted a broad range of buyer, from local Bolton purchasers to international customers, highlighting the development’s huge appeal.

Gavin has been instrumental in the success of Royal Bowland Park, winning this award yet again for superb management on site, with the judges impressed by his exacting standards and commitment to only the highest quality across all areas of the construction process.

One of the most highly regarded awards in the housebuilding industry, Pride in the Job has been in existence for more than 40 years and is a prestigious accolade that site managers strive to achieve.

Judging is a rigorous process that covers all key areas of the construction process including quality of workmanship, technical expertise, health and safety, management and leadership and site managers must score highly in all areas to win.

Gavin says: “Winning the Pride in the Job award is a fantastic feeling.  I have won the award 12 times now, the last being in 2021, but it means just as much to me every time; that feeling of pride never fades.  It’s a great accolade to receive and shows that by giving 110% commitment all day, every day, does eventually pay off.  I’m delighted with this achievement both for me and my team.”

Tom Chadwick, Head of Construction for Royal Bowland Park, adds: “Gavin continuously works hard and his meticulous approach combined with his attention to detail is second to none.  No stranger to receiving the Pride in the Job award, having won 12 times before, Gavin has excelled yet again at Royal Bowland Park and is a worthy winner.”

Prices at Royal Bowland Park start from £274,995 for the Tailor house type, a three bedroom semi-detached, and start from £384,995 for the Farrier, a four bedroom detached home.
