Tickets Now on Sale for the Region’s Most Beloved Celebration of Art and Nature
The Black Mountain Center for the Arts (BMCA) is thrilled to announce that Art in Bloom 2026 returns this June, marking the 20th anniversary of Western North Carolina’s most anticipated union of fine art and floral design. Tickets are on sale now at blackmountainarts.org/artinbloom.
Running June 18–21, the main festival events will fill the BMCA gallery with stunning floral arrangements created by Ikebana and Western floral designers, each inspired by original works from regional artists on display in the weeks leading up to the event. A self-guided Local Garden Tour on June 19 and 20 will add a living, outdoor dimension to the experience, with plein air artists painting on location in private gardens throughout the Black Mountain area.
This year, BMCA introduces a fresh twist on the traditional opening night: First Bloom: A Sneak Peek Event on June 18 from 6:30–8 p.m. First Bloom invites guests to be among the very first to see the floral interpretations at their freshest, meet the floral designers and artists, and enjoy an evening of drinks and desserts. Tickets are $25 and include access to the gallery exhibit before it opens to the general public.
“Art in Bloom is the most highly anticipated event we host each year, and after twenty years, it continues to bring our community together in a truly magical way,” said BMCA Interim Executive Director John Hall.

Art in Bloom is BMCA’s largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting local artists, as well as classes and creative programming at the arts center, engaging residents throughout Western North Carolina. The festivities continue through July 24 with the Art from the Garden Exhibit, a free public gallery show opening June 26 featuring plein air works created by artists during the garden tour, alongside scenes of Black Mountain painted by the Swannanoa Valley Art League Plein Air Group.
