Businesses across the Black Country are being urged to act quickly to put themselves in the spotlight and enter the region’s premier business awards.
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce says time is running out to enter its 2026 Business Awards with entries closing at 5pm on July 24.
Motorsport broadcaster and Wolves Foundation ambassador Suzi Perry will host this year’s glittering finals at Wolverhampton Racecourse on November 12.
The awards celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, which also marks the 170th year of the chamber as the region’s business support organisation.
Chamber CEO Sarah Moorhouse said the awards celebrated the innovation, resilience and talent that define the region’s business community, with categories spanning start‑ups, manufacturing, professional services, creativity and leadership.
“Every year, our Business Awards highlight the incredible achievements of organisations across Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. The Black Country is full of world‑class talent and ambition and these awards give businesses the chance to showcase their success on a major stage.”
Sarah said the awards spanned 12 categories which fully reflected the diversity and breadth of the business community.
“For example, we know there are companies in our region doing outstanding work all around the world and our International Trade Excellence award is designed to showcase them.
“Similarly, every company has employees who go the extra mile to make their businesses great. There is no better way to honour these people than putting them forward for our Employee of the Year award.
“Whether you are a start-up, family business, Future Star or Catalyst for Creativity, we want to hear from you. Our range of categories means there is an award suitable for every company to enter, but you need to move quick to beat the deadline.”
The flagship Business of the Year will be selected from among the business category winners.
Last year saw the largest ever number of applications across all categories with Cradley-based RunFlat International named Business of the Year, recognised for its rapid expansion across the globe. Its innovative tyre inserts that can withstand extreme conditions are sold in 45 markets worldwide.
