The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes says its new Simpson Park development in Harworth will provide another boost to the rapidly expanding South Yorkshire town’s economy – creating close to 20 jobs during construction and bringing in the income and local spending power of 138 new homeowners into the area.
Being built off Brinsley Way, the new Bellway development forms part of the wider Harworth Group’s Simpson Park development, which when complete will featuring up to 1,200-homes, a new school and a family pub. Bellway’s element will comprise 138 new homes and feature a mix of energy efficient three- and four-bedroom properties, which will be the first Bellway homes in Yorkshire to feature air source heat pumps.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “Simpson Park as a whole is an area invigorating development, which will change the face of the entire town – bringing with it new people, new jobs and new money. It’s already put Harworth in the mix as a place to call home for those currently living outside of the area as its commuter links are exceptional – and we’re looking forward to cementing that reputation with our element of the development.
“Given the amount of interest we’ve had since the site went up on our website, I’m sure we’ll be in for an exciting time when sales begin in late Spring.”
As well as creating new jobs during construction, Bellway will also be investing well over £300,000 in education projects in Harworth.
“Our aim when coming into a new area isn’t just to build and sell homes,” added Melanie. “We’re here to build new communities and the educational funding certainly plays a key part in helping us deliver on that side of things.”
Bellway’s new homes will feature a mix of house types from its popular Artisan collection, which showcases the best in contemporary home design, while also celebrating the artisan traditions at the heart of Bellway’s rich heritage.
And, as with all new Bellway homes, the new homes in Harworth are built to first-rate specifications; including energy saving features and modern specification such as solar PV panels, EV car chargers and Smart Thermostats, under floor heating and air source heat pumps that all help to cut the cost of running a new home.
Simpson Park is due to be launched in the Spring – with prices released just a few days beforehand.
