Bellway Homes has ensured that Driffield Town Cricket Club’s girls under 11s look the part this season – having sponsored the team’s training hoodies.
The national homebuilder, whose Yorkshire division is currently building on the town’s Bridlington Road, opted to follow-up on its pre-season involvement with the team by providing sponsorship that would see it through the full season.
In late 2022, Bellway provided sponsorship that was used to buy new bats, balls and cones to help the team prepare for the 2023 season. All the hard work over winter has certainly paid off, with the club managing to enter two all girls teams into the leagues. One of the teams has won all six of their games so far this season and currently site at the top of the league.
There have also been three girls selected for the Yorkshire County squads, while at club level, some were picked to join the boys in a cup final match and others have played for the Ladies 1st team.
Jessica Hall, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales manager, said: “We’re delighted to be able to continue supporting Driffield Cricket Club and the fantastic work it is doing developing girl’s cricket in Yorkshire. Hopefully, some of those moving into our new homes on Wolds View will be inspired to pop down to the club and get involved, no matter their age or experience,”
Bellway’s Driffield development, Wolds View is currently selling strongly, with over 80 per cent of the 293-homes it’s building now sold. Prices on the remaining properties range from £164,995 for a two bedroom home to £349,995 for a four bedroom detached property.
The sales office is open 10am to 5pm Friday and Mondays, 11am to 5pm on weekends and 10am to 7pm every Thursday.
