With the summer fair season upon us, housebuilder Bellway has donated £300 to St Bartholomews Church of England Primary School, located on The Fairways in Westhoughton, to support the PTA. The money donated will be used by the school as a raffle prize on the day, allowing families the opportunity to win some cash ahead of the summer holidays.
With the school located only a stone’s throw away from Bellway’s Royal Bowland Park development, pupils at St Bartholomews have seen the houses being built and the site taking shape.
Mr Johns, Headteacher at St Bartholomews Church of England Primary School, comments: “The summer fair is an important date in the school calendar. The children love the event as it is full of fun activities and there are lots of stalls serving delicious food, sweet treats and drinks.
“Parents of pupils volunteer their time to organise the summer fair with the ultimate aim of raising as much money as possible for the school, so we really appreciate Bellway donating a very generous raffle prize.”
