Australia’s psychedelic medicine sector is entering a defining new era, driven by advances in scientific research, clinical care and commercial innovation.
As translational research accelerates, pharmaceutical innovation advances and new treatment pathways continue to emerge, the organisers of the Psychedelic Roundtable Symposium (PRS27) presented by psychedelics.media , have today announced the opening of Expressions of Interest for speakers, panelists, sponsors, exhibitors and strategic partners ahead of the inaugural event in Melbourne, Australia, on 19 to 20 March 2027.
Designed as Australia’s first multidisciplinary leadership forum dedicated to psychedelic medicine, PRS27 will bring together the international psychedelic ecosystem, connecting researchers, clinicians, educators, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, investors, regulators and policymakers to help shape the future of the sector.
Unlike traditional scientific conferences, PRS27 has been designed as an international symposium where science, healthcare, industry and public policy intersect. Its purpose is to accelerate collaboration, encourage responsible innovation and support the safe, evidence based integration of psychedelic-assisted therapies into mainstream healthcare.
The conference program will feature internationally recognised leaders from across research, neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, education, investment, regulation and public policy through keynote presentations, moderated discussions and collaborative industry forums. Key themes will include clinical research, mental healthcare, workforce development, drug development, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, investment, commercialisation, regulatory reform and improving patient access to psychedelic-assisted therapies.
“Psychedelic medicine is entering one of the most significant periods of transformation in modern healthcare,” said Gary Mackenzie, Executive Producer of the Psychedelic Roundtable Symposium (PRS27).
“Around the world, we’re seeing extraordinary advances in scientific research, clinical care, pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, education and investment. As the sector continues to evolve, the opportunity, and responsibility, to collaborate across disciplines and borders has never been greater.”
“PRS27 has been created as a global meeting place for the psychedelic ecosystem. We’re bringing together researchers, clinicians, educators, manufacturers, investors, regulators and policymakers to exchange knowledge, challenge ideas and build the partnerships that will help shape the future of psychedelic medicine.”
“Melbourne is our host city, but the conversation is global. We look forward to welcoming speakers, delegates, sponsors and exhibitors from around the world as we work together to advance research, improve patient outcomes and help shape the next chapter of psychedelic medicine.”
“The future of psychedelic medicine won’t be built by one country or one discipline. It will be built through international collaboration, scientific excellence and a shared commitment to improving mental healthcare. That’s the vision behind PRS27.”
