Aceleron partners with Amdaris to revolutionise sustainable battery management

Aceleron, the award-winning sustainable battery technology company, has partnered with Amdaris, the software delivery specialist, to extract more value from batteries by combining the power of hardware and software.

In a world with excessive battery waste, Aceleron’s technology has reengineered and patented a method for sustainable batteries that can be repaired and upgraded over time. The company selected Amdaris to utilise its data, build reporting mechanisms, and optimise inventory management.

With the initial engagement beginning in March 2021, the two companies are working together on Aceleron’s Battery Laboratory which recycles batteries, improves energy consumption and reduces emissions. Aceleron use cases include homes, hotels and light electric vehicles. The company also recently launched a joint project to help reduce battery waste within a refugee camp by providing a containerised self-sustaining battery servicing lab and training to the local population.

Amdaris is supporting Aceleron with its software capabilities, including building unique interfaces for end users, installers, repairers, and the Aceleron team. These interfaces present CO2 emissions, cost savings, solar energy generated, and usage history. The next step of the partnership is to build a platform that can monitor and manage the battery performance remotely.

Carlton Cummins, CTO at Aceleron, commented: “At Aceleron we needed a management tool that shows key battery information, and Amdaris has been intrinsic in implementing this vision. At Aceleron we have a lot of big milestones coming up, and the partnership with Amdaris is empowering us to build the framework we need to move towards a brighter, greener future.”

Andy Rogers, co-CEO at Amdaris, added: “Aceleron has a fantastic mission which is helping communities around the world to save energy and be more sustainable. From boutique hotels in the Caribbean to electric motorcycles in Africa, the use cases are endless. Software is going to be a big part of Aceleron’s future, and we’re proud to be on this journey with them.”

Aceleron and Amdaris will be exhibiting at the Battery Cells & Systems Expo in Birmingham on 28th and 29th June 2023. The team will also be presenting on the 28th at midday on stand 1020.
