The Black Mountain Center for the Arts is proud to announce the opening of Emerging Artists, a dynamic group exhibition celebrating the creative bond between mentor and student. On view from Friday, March 5 through Friday, March 27, 2026, the exhibition showcases works by renowned instructor Bob Travers alongside a talented group of his students, offering visitors a compelling look at both established artistry and the promising new voices shaping the future of our regional arts community.

Opening Reception:

Join us for a special opening reception on Friday, March 5th from 5:00 – 6:30 PM to celebrate the launch of Emerging Artists. Meet Bob Travers and his students, enjoy light refreshments, and be among the first to experience this exceptional collection. Hear directly from the artists about their work, mingle with fellow art lovers, and enjoy an evening of community and creativity. The reception is free and open to all — bring a friend!
