Wymara Villas is now the highest ranked property across the islands that make up this British Overseas Territory, in the newly-released Forbes Travel Guide 2026 Awards.
Announced on 11 February, the property is one of eight to feature in this year’s Awards. It is also the only private villa resort in the wider region to be recognised with a five-star designation, and one of only ten properties across the Caribbean to achieve a full 5-star award.
Located on the southern side of Providenciales island, Wymara Villas comprises 15 one- to six-bedroom oceanfront villas. Each villa blends clean-lined architecture with sweeping ocean views. Selected properties feature infinity pools, Wymara’s signature over-water swim decks and waterslides, creating a unique connection to the ocean.
The villa resort includes oceanside dining at Land + Sea restaurant and a Beach Club where guests can enjoy exclusive access to the Caribbean’s only in-ocean pool, sports and leisure facilities, as well as the new 111SKIN Spa at Wymara Villas.
Other accolades for Turks and Caicos properties include Recommended status for Salterra on South Caicos within just 11 months of opening in March 2025, as well as a 4-star rating for its fine dining restaurant Brine. The resort, which has 100 ocean-facing suites, is firmly grounded in the island’s salt-making heritage, evident in its design, decor and gastronomy.
Other properties in the Turks and Caicos Islands to receive 2026 awards include Wymara Resort (97-room hotel and sister property to Wymara Villas, located at Grace Bay), Amanyara and Seven Stars Resort & Spa which are all designated 4-Star. COMO Parrot Cay, Grace Bay Club and The Somerset on Grace Bay are all Recommended properties.
