THE ANNUAL BATTLE OF THE BREWS
February 26, 2026, 5:30-8:30 PM at Oakton Community Center
Committed to helping students and their families bridge financial gaps on the path to a quality education, The Education Foundation 501(c)(3) is thrilled to present the 2nd Annual BATTLE OF THE BREWS! Taking flight on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5:30–8:30 PM at the Oakton Community Center (4701 Oakton Street, Skokie), this high spirited evening showcases the “best of the best” brewed beers as they go head to head for the bragging rights. Guests will also enjoy tastings of other libations and non-alcoholic beverages, all in support of education!
For $50 per ticket, supporters will enjoy tastings of all brew options, a commemorative tasting glass, delicious pub grub from Fatpour, Superdawg, and Village Inn, plus sweet treats from Culver’s and fun games. Several carefully selected beers, including varieties from Great Lakes, Half Acre Beer, Sketchbook Brewing Co., Superdawg and 3 Floyds, will vie for victory. In addition to the brew, attendees can savor wine samples featured by Sip & Give. All proceeds raised will benefit the Foundation’s Scholarship Funds supporting college and trade school scholarships, campus tours for first generation students, mentorship initiatives, STEM and RISE programs, summer programs, and school supplies. Housing insecurities, food insecurities and lack of everyday supplies are plaguing students in Niles Township and the quest for funds to assist students within Niles Township is a continuing and daunting endeavor. Nearly 70% of the students in one school within one of the Niles Township districts, are on a Free and Reduced Lunch program. As student needs grow, donations make a powerful difference, helping ensure that every student has the opportunity to receive a quality education.
This event is made possible by the generous donations and support of The Education Foundation Battle of the Brews sponsors including Niles Township Federation of Teachers and Support Staff, Dance Marathon, First Bank of Chicago, McGrath Evanston Subaru, The Ryan Family, Sharper Dot, and more to be announced soon!
Sponsorships are also available and will energize a business sponsor’s visibility within the community while contributing to a most worthy cause. There are four levels of sponsorship: $1,000 BARREL LEVEL, $750 KEG, $500 FLIGHT or $250 PINT and details are available via The Education Foundation’s website.
