PROTONETWORK— A Solo Art Exhibition by Aleksandra Kokotović at The Warehouse, Dubai, December 13, 2025-January 7, 2026
On December 13th, the Internationally renowned artist Aleksandra Kokotović opened PROTONETWORK, her first solo exhibition in Dubai with the series of Paintings, at The Warehouse gallery.
The protonetwork is an exploration of the earliest structural states of form, a phase in which the image is neither representation nor symbol, but a diagram of relationships in the process of emerging. These works do not address subject matter, narrative, or scene; instead, they examine the conditions under which spatial organization becomes possible.
Within the compositions, small circles, square units, segments of lines, and numerical markings appear. These elements function as structural modules, units that allow form to surface before it becomes recognizable. The numbers are not illustrative signs, but indicators of distribution and rhythm, of relational hierarchies and sequences within the visual field. Their role is operative: they introduce measure, order, iteration, and the potential for repetition and transformation.
Aleksandra Kokotović, born in Sarajevo, is a multimedia artist actively contributing to the art scenes in the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. Her works have been exhibited across numerous countries, including Austria, France, Lithuania, Poland, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, the Maldives, Egypt, Jordan, Bangladesh, Croatia, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Hungary, Lebanon, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Italy, and beyond.
Aleksandra graduated from the Accademia del Lusso and she is the President of the Art Council of the most prominent and oldest professional guild in Serbia – the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia. She also serves as a board member of the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia. In addition, she is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
She received her first international painting award at the age of 10. She currently lives and works in Florida, Belgrade, and London.
