Dalcour Maclaren has launched a dedicated Stakeholder Engagement business line, appointing Beth Motley as director to lead the new team. This strategic expansion builds on the company’s established expertise in land, geomatics, planning, and environmental services, enabling a fully integrated approach to utility and infrastructure project delivery.

Beth joins Dalcour Maclaren as Director of Stakeholder Engagement, bringing with her two decades of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and community engagement across the built environment, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Commenting on her new role, Beth said: “Effective, meaningful stakeholder engagement is the cornerstone of successful project delivery. Joining Dalcour Maclaren to lead a team embedded within the business is a real opportunity to innovate and do things differently.”

“Working alongside colleagues in land, planning and environmental services, the Stakeholder Engagement team will align technical delivery with strategic communications. By drawing on our collective expertise, we aim to better understand the individuals, organisations and communities that influence project outcomes – helping to build trust and foster collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.”

With more than 20 years’ experience at the forefront of UK infrastructure and utilities, Dalcour Maclaren understands the increasing pressure developers face to deliver essential infrastructure while minimising disruption to communities and addressing public concerns around reliability, affordability and supply.

The new Stakeholder Engagement offering responds directly to growing client demand for strategic communications to support projects that are critical to modernising national infrastructure, driving regional development, and achieving net zero.

“The infrastructure world is a busy place, and we are involved with hundreds of projects across the UK”, confirms James Neil, CEO of Dalcour Maclaren. “Stakeholder engagement is a vital part of any project, and we have added this arm to our business so that we can deliver a full one-stop-shop service to our clients in an innovative and joined up way, bringing faster progress and better outcomes.”

“We’re extremely lucky that Beth has joined DM. She has a fantastic track record and is a truly driven individual and a perfect fit for DM’s ‘one team’ approach.”
