LONDON, UK - 19 August 2025

Partou Rosendale Road Day Nursery and Pre-school in the London Borough of Lambeth has achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all areas following an Ofsted inspection.

In her final report, the inspector describes the children as “settled, confident and content at this welcoming and inclusive nursery.”

She adds: “Parents speak very positively about the nursery. They say their children enjoy attending the nursery and they have seen children make good progress. Parents like the staff who they describe as ‘fantastic.’”

Registered in 2006, Partou Rosendale Road provides high-quality childcare and early years education to families in Dulwich from the unique setting of All Saints Church.

Its bright, airy playrooms packed with educational resources are complemented by a carefully curated outdoor space where children can enjoy fresh air all-year round.

The Ofsted inspector praises team members for providing “a challenging curriculum that supports children to make good progress in their development from their starting points.” She writes: “Activities are carefully planned and sequenced so they build on children’s skills and follow their interests.”

Her report continues: “Children beam with pride when staff tell them they are proud of them. This builds children’s confidence and self-esteem.”

The nursery’s support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is judged as “good.” The inspector notes: “Staff work closely with parents and make timely referrals to ensure that children receive the specialist support they need.”

“All” of the children at the setting are described as “developing a love of books and reading as staff make story time an enjoyable experience.”

The report states: “Parents are supported to develop children’s enjoyment of books at home by accessing the well-resourced book lending library.” It adds: “Parents appreciate the support that staff give to help guide their children’s learning at home. They feel staff have gone ‘above and beyond’ to support their children’s progress.”

And safeguarding arrangements at the setting are deemed to be “effective.” The inspector comments: “There is an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts children’s interests first.”

The Ofsted inspection included a learning walk of the entire setting; conversations with team members, children and families; observing a group activity; and an examination of the nursery’s documentation including evidence of how staff suitability has been assessed.

Responding to the adjudication, Jonelle Jacob, Partou Rosendale Road Nursery Manager, said: “It is a privilege to lead such a committed team whose efforts have been recognised by the Ofsted inspector.

“It is particularly pleasing to read the feedback from families who play such an important role in what we do.

“The children’s personal development will always be our top priority as they set out on their learning journey. We are committed to providing the best possible care for them.”

Samantha Rhodes, Partou Managing Director, said: “Congratulations to Jonelle and the entire Partou Rosendale Road team on the outcome.

“The compliments from the Ofsted inspector throughout her report – based on her own observations, together with feedback from families and children – are testament to their dedication and professionalism.”
