What do improv, leadership training, and a wildly unpredictable presentation show have in common? They’re all part of Bring Your Boss, a one-of-a-kind evening at the Courtyard Playhouse on 29 May 2025, designed to give professionals a taste of corporate training that actually sticks.
Running from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, the event is aimed at decision-makers, HR leads, managers, and anyone curious about how improvisation can sharpen business skills—while also being an absolute blast.
“We created Bring Your Boss as a way for companies to experience our unique approach to professional development,” says Kylie Schultz, Corporate Manager at the Courtyard Playhouse. “It’s not theory-heavy or slide-based—quite the opposite. It’s active, human, and full of the kind of skills the modern workplace really needs: adaptability, presence, and connection.”
The evening kicks off with a free 60-minute trial session of the Playhouse’s improv-based corporate training, followed by a networking hour with drinks and Q&A, where guests can meet the team and explore how the Playhouse has worked with top regional brands over the past 12 years.
To cap it all off? A seat at the Playhouse’s hit comedy format PowerPointless—a hilarious show where presenters improvise talks based on slides they’ve never seen before. It’s the perfect example of thinking on your feet, with a healthy dose of chaos.
