Star Platforms, a leading powered access specialist, celebrates its 10th anniversary, reflecting on a decade of success and commitment to excellence. Since its launch in October 2014, the company has grown into a national provider, expanding operations and introducing initiatives celebrating its employees, customers, and the communities it serves.
Starting with a single location in Dunstable, Star Platforms now operates from nine UK locations with a workforce of 180. This year, the company marked a milestone by relocating its head office to a larger facility in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, which accommodates over 50 staff across central functions.
Over the past decade, the company’s hire fleet has expanded to over 4,300 machines and 100 vehicles, demonstrating a dedication to maintaining high-quality, reliable powered access equipment. Its growth is backed by key industry accreditations, including FORS Silver and IPAF Rental+ certifications. Star Platforms is also a two-time finalist at the prestigious International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA), and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CHAS, and SafeContractor accreditations, reflecting its commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

As part of its celebrations, Star Platforms introduced a 10-year service award to recognise long-serving employees. Its ongoing commitment to local communities is demonstrated by contributions of £83,500 to various charitable initiatives. Through its ‘WE RISE’ initiative, the company has already donated over £10,000 to charities, with plans to support many more causes close to the hearts of its employees, customers, and suppliers.
