Midlands-based homebuilder, Cameron Homes is set to unveil its new energy efficient home at its Lawnswood development situated near to the picturesque Staffordshire village of Tatenhill.

The new Sustainable Living at Lawnswood information hub and show homes will launch on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June and will allow prospective buyers the chance to immerse themselves in Cameron Homes’ new energy efficient-focused offering.

Sustainable Living at Lawnswood will comprise of two, three and four bedroom properties alongside a site adjacent to the National Forest where Cameron Homes has already built over 100 new homes. These new more sustainable properties mark the next stage in development at this location.

Customers are invited to visit the new show homes and immersive information hub, which will showcase the materials, technology and initiatives that have been carefully selected for their positive impact on energy efficiency, ongoing living costs and environmental outputs. The homes have been created with research findings in mind, following a survey of 2,000 representative sampled consumers that the homebuilder conducted to find out their wants and needs in an energy efficient new home.

The research showed that a well-insulated home was the most understood and recognised feature in reducing energy consumption while photovoltaic panels were second in priority. Other technologies such as air source heat pumps, smart home technology and wastewater recovery were also valued by respondents.

As a result of the research, Cameron Homes has invested in the components and materials that make up the fabric of the building to ensure that the structure of the new homes are well-insulated and photovoltaic panels, with battery back-up, that collect and store energy from the sun, have been installed. All properties will also include low energy technology, wastewater heat recovery, low flush toilets and restricted-flow showers that will save homeowners money on energy costs.

Ian Burns, Managing Director at Cameron Homes, said: “We are delighted to invite the local community and prospective home buyers to come and visit our new information hub and show homes. Sustainable Living at Lawnswood is a fantastic example of Cameron Homes’ commitment to moving toward a more sustainable way of living and our new information hub provides a wealth of information in an immersive and innovative way. We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming people to come and experience the new homes first-hand as they take their next step towards sustainable living.”

With an array of amenities and popular schools on its doorstep and excellent transport links, Sustainable Living at Lawnswood is the perfect choice for families of all shapes and sizes.

The information hub and show homes will launch on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June.
