Today, Derbion has revealed the huge success of Popeyes® UK opening day, which took place on Saturday 22nd October, and saw chicken fans queue for the famous Louisiana menu for over 12 hours in-centre.
The US fried chicken brand officially opened its doors within Derbion’s Food Terrace on Level 2 from 11am on Saturday 22nd October, however eager chicken fans were queuing from a record-breaking 10.30pm on Friday 21st October to be in with a chance of winning free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year.
What’s more, Popeyes® UK sold over 1,000 of its famed Chicken Sandwiches – which ‘broke the internet’ when launched in the US – on its opening day at Derbion.
The first three customers, who had queued throughout the night, won free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year*, while the first 50 guests received a free Chicken Sandwich and official Popeyes® UK merchandise.
