A Derby schoolwear provider has been acquired by an industry specialist in a deal that promises further investment and affordable clothing for parents.   Uniformality Ltd, a school uniform shop based on Nottingham Road in Borrowash, has been purchased by Worcestershire-based clothing supplier, Regency Clothing.   Just over 10 years after opening, the Derby store has gone onto serve over 40 schools in the area and become widely known for offering competitively priced uniforms for school children.   As part of the deal, the Uniformality brand will be retained and has seen Regency Clothing investing around £20,000 in a full refurbishment of the store, which includes new changing rooms, a booking desk and free drinks area for customers.

The business will also benefit from Regency Clothing’s warehouse storage as the company looks to keep high levels of stock and reduce cost.   Sue Hicks, operations director of Regency Clothing said: “Uniformality has been a hugely successful and trusted business since it opened ten years ago. It has become the school uniform provider of choice for hundreds of families from across Derbyshire and beyond.   “The store is known for providing excellent quality uniforms for many nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. That’s something we want to build on and aside from a major shop refurbishment, our warehousing means we can keep more stock and prices low to support parents especially during the cost-of-living crisis. We can also serve customers quickly, especially during the busy lead up to new term times.   “Due to the demand we’re seeing with more schools coming onboard, which is something we want to continue to grow, not only in Derbyshire but also in Worcestershire. We have also taken on more warehouse staff and that will only benefit Uniformality’s customers in terms of service and cost. It’s a really exciting opportunity and time for us.”             Headquartered in Droitwich, Worcestershire, Regency Clothing specialises in providing schoolwear and also workwear for the catering and hospitality sectors.   For more information, readers can visit www.uniformality.co.uk
