EDITORIAL INSIGHT: Context, industry insight and market perspectives of this news story

Commercial properties occasionally find themselves repurposed as creative spaces, and Pink Storage’s involvement in Ed Hardy’s latest campaign is a recent example of this crossover. While the collaboration brings a moment of visibility for the Trafford Park facility, it also highlights how unconventional urban locations are being sought after by brands looking to add authenticity or edge to their imagery.

For local businesses, such partnerships can offer an alternative source of exposure and revenue, even if only temporarily. For Ed Hardy, choosing a working self storage site aligns with the brand’s established street-inspired aesthetic, using the industrial environment to reinforce its identity in a highly visual market. This approach may hold interest for other operators in the region considering similar collaborations with creative industries.

Machesteer, UK - August 13, 2025

Pink Storage has stepped into the fashion spotlight after serving as the location for the photoshoot of Ed Hardy’s Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign.

The Trafford Park self storage facility provided the industrial setting for the first phase of the heritage fashion brand’s latest collection, with the campaign fully unveiling this week on Thursday 6th August. A second phase of the collection is expected to follow in August.

Known for its bold aesthetic and distinguishable tattoo-inspired designs, Ed Hardy selected the site for its open spaces and contemporary urban feel – demonstrating how commercial locations are increasingly being used as creative backdrops for fashion photography and brand campaigns.

The shoot transformed the working self storage facility into a fashion set, with models, photographers, videographers, stylists, and production crews bringing the new collection to life against the site’s industrial backdrop.

The shoot ran for seven and a half hours and involved a crew of 12, working with four models to capture approximately 18 looks from the new collection. The team made the most of the space, using a number of different areas across the site to create a variety of looks and backdrops for the campaign.

Scott Evans, CEO of Pink Storage, said: “It was fantastic to see the site used in such a creative way. The team behind the campaign saw something different about our space, and it was exciting to see it transform into the backdrop for a major fashion shoot. It demonstrates that commercial spaces can have a creative side too.”

Sophie Atkins of Zero21 Brands, which represents Ed Hardy, commented: “For this collection, we wanted a location that reflected the raw energy and attitude of the brand. The industrial setting at Pink Storage provided the perfect canvas for bringing that vision to life.

“We were so pleased with the location – it really delivered everything we needed for a successful campaign.”
