Graham Miranda UG (haftungsbeschränkt) has launched two platforms for organisations that want more control over the systems they run: Graham Miranda Voice, an open business communications platform, and Graham Miranda AI, a delivery capability for agents, automation and knowledge systems.
Graham Miranda Voice brings business telephony, contact centre operations, messaging and automation into a single modular environment. It covers call control, inbound routing, interactive voice response, queue design, policy-based call recording, operational analytics, team collaboration, event-driven automation and integration with existing business systems.
The platform is built around open protocols and established open-source communications projects, including SIP, PJSIP, WebRTC and Debian, with documentation pointing to the maintained upstream sources rather than to a closed knowledge base. Organisations can run it under three operating models: self-managed on their own infrastructure with full administrative control, managed by Graham Miranda under an agreed service scope, or hybrid, where the control plane stays with the customer and operations are shared.
Graham Miranda AI covers eight service lines: AI agents, chatbots and copilots, workflow automation, private knowledge systems, voice and call assistants, document intelligence, content systems, and advisory and enablement work. The service is offered to organisations and to individuals, with deployment across managed cloud, private cloud or self-hosted components depending on the sensitivity of the information involved.
Both platforms are published in twelve languages.
“Most organisations do not have a technology problem, they have an ownership problem,” said Graham Miranda, Managing Director of Graham Miranda UG (haftungsbeschränkt). “They rent a phone system they cannot see into, and every change becomes a support ticket. We wanted to build the opposite of that. If a customer decides to run the platform themselves and never speak to us again, that is a legitimate outcome and we say so on the pricing page.”
The commercial model is published rather than gated. The open-source core is not sold as a per-user licence by Graham Miranda. Design, infrastructure, implementation, support and third-party services are quoted separately across three engagement shapes: community and self-managed use, managed deployment, and structured enterprise programmes.
The company has also taken an unusual position on two points that commonly appear in communications marketing. Commercial FreePBX modules are excluded from what is presented as the open-source grant, because they carry separate licences. And no public availability figure is published on the product pages at all.
“An uptime percentage printed on a marketing page is a number chosen by a copywriter,” said Miranda. “It has not seen your network, your carrier arrangements or your redundancy design. Any availability commitment, response target or service credit belongs in a signed service schedule, after somebody has actually looked at the environment. We would rather lose the enquiry than publish a figure we cannot stand behind in a procurement review.”
Migration from an existing private branch exchange follows a documented sequence. Discovery covers the current dial plan, carrier services, emergency-calling configuration, devices and business-critical call paths. The target environment is built and validated in parallel before any number porting takes place, and the transition is scheduled with defined ownership, validation calls and an agreed rollback path.
On the AI side, the delivery process runs discover, design, prototype, integrate and improve, with model and hosting decisions deliberately deferred until the task, the data and the intended outcome have been mapped. Governance is built around six principles: data minimisation, explicit access, human checkpoints, deployment choice, traceable work and cost boundaries.
“The AI conversation usually starts in the wrong place,” said Miranda. “Somebody decides they need a chatbot before anyone has asked what work is actually costing the business three days a month. Start with the process. The model is a detail you choose later, and sometimes the honest finding at prototype stage is that AI is not the right tool for that particular job.”
The two platforms are designed to interoperate. Call events, webhooks and open interfaces on the communications side can trigger AI workflows, and AI voice assistants can sit in front of call routing as a first line. Neither platform requires the other.
