Post Complete, the stamp duty review service for conveyancing law firms, has appointed Louise Wise as Head of Property Tax.
Louise brings more than 10 years’ specialist experience advising conveyancers, individuals, companies and developers on Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and Land Transaction Tax (LTT). She joins Post Complete from Relatus, where she built a strong reputation for her technical expertise in pre-transaction advice, refunds, HMRC enquiries and tribunal appeals.
A qualified member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and a qualified solicitor (non-practising), Louise combines technical tax knowledge with significant legal and advocacy experience. Her background includes managing the full lifecycle of HMRC compliance matters, from initial checks and enquiries through to representation at Tax Tribunal hearings, achieving successful outcomes in six of her last seven appeal hearings.
Louise’s appointment further strengthens Post Complete’s commitment to providing conveyancing firms with high-level technical support, risk management and confidence in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
In her new role, Louise will lead the Post Complete team, overseeing the delivery of pre-completion SDLT and LTT review services, setting technical standards across calculations and written advice, and acting as the senior escalation point for complex property tax matters.
“Louise brings an exceptional combination of technical expertise, legal analysis and practical client-focused advice,” said Sean Swimby, co-founder of Post Complete. “Her experience handling complex HMRC compliance matters and tribunal appeals makes her a hugely valuable addition to the business at a critical time for the sector.”
Her appointment comes ahead of the new HMRC tax adviser registration regime taking effect from 18 May 2026, which will bring SDLT work firmly within scope for firms submitting returns on behalf of clients.
