Toulouse-based software company NovaForma Studio has expanded its AI-powered professional inbox Elixmail with a new 24/7 AI Phone Receptionist designed to handle inbound calls for freelancers, small businesses and SMEs that cannot afford a full-time front desk.
The new feature gives every Elixmail Pro and Business subscriber a dedicated French phone number routed through an AI receptionist that answers in the company’s name, screens the caller’s intent, and takes the appropriate action without human involvement.
Trained on six profession-specific scripts (medical, restaurant, real estate, legal, artisan and a generic business model), the AI Receptionist greets callers with a personalised script tailored to the user’s industry, available around the clock including evenings, weekends and holidays. It books appointments directly into the user’s Elixmail calendar based on real-time availability, and creates a CRM contact card for every caller, with the call reason, urgency level and AI-detected intent score automatically attached.
After every call, the user receives a real-time email alert containing an AI-written summary of the conversation, the full call transcription, and any commitments made on their behalf. The service operates on a pay-per-call model via a prepaid wallet, with no additional fixed monthly fee on top of the user’s existing Elixmail subscription.

Unlike standalone voice-AI platforms, Elixmail’s receptionist is fully integrated with the rest of the suite: calls feed directly into the same CRM that powers the user’s email follow-ups, the same calendar that schedules video meetings, and the same daily AI briefing that summarises overnight activity.
Early users include independent practitioners in healthcare, legal services, real estate agencies and hospitality businesses across France. Internal data shared by NovaForma Studio shows participating users recovered an average of fourteen missed calls per week within the first month of activation.
The AI Phone Receptionist is included with the Elixmail Pro plan at nineteen euros per month and the Business plan at forty-five euros per month. Calls themselves are billed per usage through a prepaid wallet, allowing customers to scale spend with real call volume rather than committing to a fixed contract.
Elixmail is GDPR-compliant, hosted in the European Union, and uses AES-256 encryption across the platform, including for call recordings and transcripts.
