The Black Mountain Center for the Arts (BMCA) is proud to announce its annual dance recital, “Stars in Motion,” taking place Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Owen High School auditorium. This uplifting community showcase features original choreography performed by students in Ballet, Tap, and Contemporary classes, celebrating a year of creativity and joy.

As a hub for the Swannanoa Valley, BMCA is inviting local businesses and families to “be a pART of the ARTs” by sponsoring the event or purchasing a “shout-out” in the official recital program. With a projected audience of over 200 community members, these advertisements offer a unique way to spotlight local support while directly benefiting arts education.

“The ‘Stars in Motion’ program is more than just a keepsake—it’s a way to celebrate our dancers and keep the arts moving,” said Claire K. Landis, Program Coordinator and Dance Studio Manager at BMCA. “Every contribution, whether a heartfelt family photo or a business ad, helps make this experience unforgettable, and keep our program accessible”.
