DriveYo, the AI-powered automotive transparency platform disrupting the $1 trillion U.S. auto industry, is proud to announce the addition of Utkarsh Lubal — known internally as “Ubii” — to its core engineering team.
A Champion Who Chose Purpose Over Paycheck
Utkarsh Lubal is not your average engineer. An international blockchain hackathon champion, former senior software engineer at CapGemini, and a researcher with exceptional academic standing, Ubii had no shortage of opportunities. Multiple Fortune 500 companies and multinational corporations extended offers — all of which he declined.
His reason was simple: he wanted to build something that actually helps people.
“Ubii, you join our team and we will change the way the auto industry works — not just in the USA, but the entire world.” — Suraj Viswanathan, Founder and CEO, DriveYo
That vision was enough. Ubii said yes.
A Builder at the Highest Level
Utkarsh brings a rare combination of depth and range to DriveYo. He has built end-to-end enterprise cybersecurity solutions from the ground up — systems designed to protect organizations at scale. His technical foundation spans blockchain architecture, full-stack enterprise development, and advanced AI systems.
Currently, as part of his research at California State University Long Beach (CSULB), Utkarsh is working on cutting-edge AI systems designed to detect, deceive, and disrupt cyberattacks in real time — a body of work that places him at the forefront of next-generation cybersecurity innovation.
This research directly strengthens DriveYo’s commitment to building a platform that is not only transparent and powerful, but secure and resilient for every consumer who trusts it.
Giving Back to the Developer Community
What truly sets Utkarsh apart is his commitment to the global developer community — entirely on his own time and at no cost. He has independently created and published over 150 open-source React and React Native libraries, freely available to developers worldwide. Beyond that, he has built and released numerous cybersecurity tools designed to protect individuals and organizations who may not have the resources to defend themselves.
This spirit of contribution is not incidental — it is central to who Ubii is. Long before joining DriveYo, he was already giving away his best work for free, simply because he believed the world would be better for it.
The Human Behind the Code
Beyond the terminal and the research lab, Utkarsh is known for his discipline, drive, and energy. A passionate fitness enthusiast, he brings the same intensity to the gym as he does to engineering — a mindset that reflects DriveYo’s culture of excellence in everything they do.
What This Means for DriveYo
With Utkarsh on board, DriveYo accelerates its mission to bring institutional-level pricing intelligence to everyday car buyers across America and beyond. His addition signals that DriveYo is not just building a product — it is assembling a world-class team that is willing to bet on a mission over a paycheck.
