Love was certainly in the air for Richard and Rachel Spivey when they paid an impromptu visit to Bellway’s brand new Buttercross Meadows development on its opening day last Valentine’s Day – finding their forever home, winning a romantic competition and being the very first people to reserve a house on the 290 home development.

And now the couple, along with their two children, Evelyn and Fraser and pet cockapoo, Mabel, have moved into a house that they can truly call their own – it actually features a brick with their name engraved on it!

Rachel said: “We were never really looking to move from our old house, but once we saw the new Buttercross Meadows development nearby, we decided to make an impromptu visit and ended up finding our dream home. We fell in love with the idea of the house, it offered more space and a layout better suited to family life, we knew we had to reserve it straight away.”

“The best feeling was finally sitting down for a well-earned cup of tea in our new living room, looking out of the window and appreciating how lucky we are.”

The Spivey’s used Bellway’s Express Mover scheme, which involved Bellway’s sales team working with a local estate agent to sell their existing home. The popular scheme speeds up the house moving process, removes expensive estate agent fees and significantly reduces the stresses associated with buying and selling a house.

Melanie Smith Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director said: “Richard and Rachel were among the very first people to visit Buttercross Meadows on our first day of sales and the first to reserve a home. It’s great to see them moved in and settled. It’s the best feeling when you see a family find their dream home with us.”

“Buttercross Meadows has been designed with families like the Spivey’s in mind, and the aim with the Express Mover scheme is to make house buying and moving easier. The savings it creates on estate agent fees is a real boost as it frees up a good chunk of money that we often find is used by buyers to help transform their new house into their perfect home, as well as saving a lot of time and stress.”

The home the Spivey’s bought was the four-bedroom detached Lorimer, featuring an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, a separate living room, two en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom.

“Bellway made everything run so smoothly with their express mover scheme, it took away a lot of stress and made the move-in process so enjoyable,” added Rachel. “We are even adding a personalised brick with our initials engraved into the house, which Bellway provided.”

Buttercross Meadows is located off Wrawby Road and features two-bed bungalows and three and four-bed houses, designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers. Prices on currently range from £259,995 for a three-bedroom Thespian to £389,995 for a four-bedroom Forrester.
