99 Secrets To A Successful Life In International Women’s Day Book Publication

International Women’s Day marked the launch of a significant book published by The Book Chief Publishing House, sharing the success stories of 99 women from around the globe at The Cosy Club, Birmingham, on 8th March. Success means such different things to everyone. This book project has captured the essence of each participant’s journey in one area of their life: business, health, family or adversity. Topics range from addiction, trauma, business success, mindset changes, chronic pain, illness and every aspect of a ‘win’ in someone’s life.

Throughout the day, several Co-Authors shared their stories first-hand, brought together by Sharon Brown, the founder of several businesses, including The Book Chief. Poet and 11th Bard of Northampton, Kezzabelle Ambler, also entertained the women with her thought-provoking and mischievous spoken words. Speakers included Elke Wallace, Ellie LaCrosse, Anca Petcu, Jasmine Mbye, Tabby Kerwin, Aimee-Beth Evans, Pamela Edwards, Elizabeth Calderara, Lisa Cattell, Gillian Routledge, Philippa Scobie, Monika Mateja, Satty Mann, and Yvonne Hayes. There was also an open panel discussion considering the subject of ‘How not fitting is a superpower’ and ‘Top tips for scaling a business’, with Abbi Hoxleigh, Elle Bright, Anna Goodwin and Olive Pellington as panellists.

This book aims to go beyond society’s constructed concept that success is measured in assets, wealth, riches and material goods and to delve deeper into what success means to women from every background and across continents, thus better understanding what fulfils us. There is a mix of successful women business owners, mothers, artists, doctors, coaches, writers, directors and many more who have shared their interpretation of success within this book. The day highlighted that regardless of your job title or what others may think—your participation and contributions are necessary for everyone’s success. Where you were born or what you may have been through is irrelevant—you deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. The momentum around the Co-Authors’ Facebook group triggered several further visibility opportunities, such as interviews and magazine features. The Book Chief also has an opportunity for a similar version for men, which will be launched on International Men’s Day on 19th November 2023. The book launch event photographer was Mark Varney from MV Visual Media.

About the book launch, Sharon Brown said, “It was wonderful to meet some of the Co-Authors and watch them interacting as if they’d been friends for years. It was a reminder that no matter how you get to where you are now, whether by choice or not, you deserve to live the best life possible. It makes no difference whether you feel like you fit in or like an outsider, whether at home or work, school or in your community—you are just as important as everyone else and have something valuable to add. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, who raised you, or what paths you’ve taken—women make a difference when they come together to support each other.”

The Book Chief Publishing House is an Indie Self-Publishing House, and a trading business under the Lydian Group Ltd. Sharon Brown also has three other trading businesses online, namely The Speakers Index, MO2VATE Media and Revival Sanctuary. All of these projects encourage collaborative working and are developed by working together with fellow entrepreneurs to complete and support the projects individually. Sharon’s business ethos is designed to embrace and encourage collaboration over competition.
